The fair is attended by people of all ages and ethnic groups; primarily by parents and their children, grandparents, publishers, authors, librarians, schools, teachers, storytellers, book retail stores, illustrators and all those who love books and have a passion to read and a desire to know more about the world around them.
Publishers, authors of children’s books, book sellers, libraries, illustrators, comic strip writers, cartoonists, literacy advocates, Early Childhood Development practitioners, government departments and educational institutions.
Entry tickets are available online at Webtickets and at Pick n Pay stores.
A ticket for an adult and those over 18 years old costs R50.00; A pensioner’s ticket is R30.00, Teenagers from 13 to 17 the ticket is R20.00 while children from 2 to 12 years entry is FREE. Children should be accompanied by adults.
Yes they will be available from ticket vendors at the venue.
The fair is open to everyone. Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to school children however this does not mean the public may not attend the fair on those days.

The fair is open to multimedia exhibitors. The fair will give visitors a broad overview of what technology can do in the advancement of education.
Book your exhibition stand now. The closing date for bookings and payment of stands is 12 May 2018. This date will enable the organisers to finalise the programme, publicise your business on the website and exhibitors’ brochure. The sooner you book your stand the more exposure your business receives.

The fair opens to exhibitors from 08h00 to 17h00 from Thursday to Sunday. Visitors will have access from 09h00 to 17h0.
Yes, Wi-Fi will be available and can be accessed using the password sent to you via e-mail by the organisers.
The number of tickets / permits issued will vary according to the number of stands bought by the exhibitor.
An exhibitor permit will be issued to exhibitors upon registration. This permit must be presented at the fair at all times in order to gain admittance.

Book Fair tickets are only valid for one admission per day.

The workshops are 45 minutes long and they begin on the hour.

From 07 – 08 June, however groups must pre-register to ensure a smooth process upon arrival.

SACBF offers workshops for all age groups: 3 – 7, 8 – 12, 13 – 17, 18 and above.
Parents are advised to attend these workshops with their children. For safety and security reasons, it is not recommended to leave children alone.
Yes, as long as there is space availability and the schedule is met.
Most seminars and workshops are FREE however there may be an entry fee for some. This information will be made available closer to the time.
